Romania, Kingdom. An Order of the Romanian Star, Knight’s Cross with Swords Hold SOUTH AFRICA 1902 (8672 Pte(Ordinul Steaua Romaniei). Instituted in 1877 by Prince Carol I. Type II (1932 1947). Military Division. In bronze gilt, a blue enamelled cross with eagles in each quadrant, swords pierce the central medallion, the obverse medallion features the cypher of Carol I, surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed IN FIDE SALUS, encircled by a green enamelled wreath, the reverse medallion features the year 1877 on a red enamel field, surrounded by a green
