Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park WPA Style Poster Indigenous Peoples including the American bald eagleThe Black Canyon of the Gunnison National park WPA style poster draws from the historic designs created by the Works Progress Administration between 1935 and 1943. These posters promoted travel, education, and public programs across the United States. Only a small number of original national park posters remain today, preserved through the efforts of ranger Doug Leen. Modern designs continue this tradition while reflecting the style of the originals.
