Glenn’s work became hugely influential

I was delighted to find these two portraits tucked away in a country saleroom during the first lockdown for something of a steal

It is painterly and energetic and often sombre and melancholic

I remember telling him that

a bright and promising student she married soon after graduation and moved to Cornwall never to be heard of again

Viktor Kalvachev reserved Glenn’s work became hugely influential"I met Viktor through a friend at a comic convention in Paris and a bunch of us went over to his place for dinner. That night he was very complimentary about my painting and coming from him, an extraordinary talent, it sent me into an existential tailspin. He taught me the important lesson, that to praise another artists work never diminishes your own."
