I feel a certain sense of nostalgia when I look at these simple little wind-up tin toys

I've tidied and updated this one which pre-dates the 1955 period with a backing and edged with small beads

A very pretty and lightweight vintage necklace which goes beautifully with our other sequinned button necklace

The piece is finished with a black seed bead and button clasp

The doll wears a scarf with green dots and she has large eyes and a small red rosebud mouth

Vintage Belt Necklace Festival I feel a certain senseEven though part of this delightful little vintage belt was missing and it was showing its age (aren't we all!), I couldn't help but bring it home to see if I could reinvent it somehow. I decided to make the original buckle the top of the necklace and each of the seven segments below has a pretty delicate stamped design possibly to imitate cut steel. I love the beautiful worn patina of greyish silver although it may well have been very much brighter
