Description

A nice gentle period portrait painted in 1946 of a young Swedish woman with a kind face and everything to look forward to

with the textures of bare clay next to the glazed bits

I painted over the pelican and added a young woman

Bull and bird get along with each other very nicely and the delicacy and scale of the bird contrasts with and amplifies the solid strength of the bull

The painted shells typically have red or green stripes and I went with red
