It has formed through the replacement of Asbestos in the crevices of beds of Jasper. It features embedded and altered amphibole mineral fibres. These altered fibres can have blue gray, brown and yellow colours. The fibres cause a chatoyancy similar to that of Tiger's Eye (which is not a chalcedony). Pietersite is a high vibration stone. It
